TOILETING

TOILETING

Toileting is among essential everyday practices for a human being. Using the toilet to urinate, clean, and other purposes is a basic Activity of Living (ADLs). However, if you are a senior citizen or recovering from an injury, it may become difficult for you to walk towards the bathroom and use it.

At Unique Styles Home Health Care, we offer toilet assistance for the elderly, injured or those in the recovery phase after surgery. Our caregivers are professionally trained to assist with bathroom care, i.e., assisting with toileting in the bathroom, using a portable commode, urinal, or in bed assistance, as required by the situation.

Assisting to Bathroom

When you face difficulty getting to the bathroom, we will make sure to provide the easiest possible way for your toileting needs. We will arrange mobility equipment to make your trips to the bathroom easy. Our caregivers will be around you all day, assist you in walking and balancing, helping you sit on the commode and get up, etc.

Assist to Bedside Commode

Caregivers at Unique Styles Home Health Care make it a systematic and professional endeavor to set your toileting routines. We know the effort it takes to get to the bathroom when you are in old age or have recently been into an accident and spending your days in bed. Our caregivers will assist you with using a portable bedside commode in case of inability to walk or moving.

Assist Urinal/ Bedpan

A urinal not only provides easy toilet assistance for seniors, but it is also helpful to those who are unable to move their body out of bed because of any severe injury or any other inadequacy. Let our caregivers hold the urinal for you as it may be hard for you to use your hands in severe health conditions or bowel movements.

Incontinence Care

The leakage of urine occurs when the person has no control due to illness, physical issues, or cognitive reasons. We know how irritating urine leakage is; that’s why we provide incontinence care for the elderly and people with physical problems. Our caregivers not only assist with incontinence but also keep the person’s skin clean and dry to avoid sores and infections.

Empty Colostomy/ Catheter Bag

Elderly people, or people with limited mobility sometime need expert professional help to empty, rinse, change their urinary catheters, or colostomy devices. To deliver appropriate care to such people, we have trained our staff with all the right knowledge and skills required for optimal care. Our training programs let our Personal Care assistants maintain the resident hygiene and health while preventing infections.
